Online meetings
Search AA, NA and other UK recovery meetings by postcode, town, or fellowship, in person or online. No sign-up. No tracking of who you are. Just the door, the time, and how to get there.
Coming home from rehab or detox can feel like stepping off a moving walkway. The structure, the people and the daily rhythm stop, and ordinary life starts again all at once. A meeting in your first day or two back is one of the simplest ways to keep some of that rhythm going.
Most people in treatment are encouraged to connect with community recovery before they leave. If that is you, this page is the practical bit.

If you can, look up a meeting before discharge: one near home for the first free evening, and an online one as backup in case the day gets away from you. Having both written down takes the decision-making out of a tired moment.
If you are already home and did not plan it, nothing is lost. Search your town now, or join tonight's online meeting from the sofa. The welcome is the same either way.
Treatment gave you people who understood. Meetings are where that continues, week in week out, for free, for as long as you want it. Many people aim for a regular pattern in the early weeks; how much and which fellowship is entirely yours to choose, and trying a few different meetings to find your fit is normal and encouraged.
Online meetings are useful glue here: when work, travel or a flat evening gets in the way of the room you meant to get to, there is a meeting on your phone instead.
If your treatment provider set up aftercare or alumni support, keep it, and let meetings sit alongside it. They are not either-or. Community meetings are simply the part that is always there, in every town and online, with no end date.
Many people go within the first day or two of getting home, because the early days back carry the most change. There is no rule, but sooner tends to be easier than later, and an online meeting tonight is the lowest-effort start.
Whichever you want to try. Each fellowship page on this site explains what it is, and you are welcome in any meeting that matches what you have been dealing with. Many people try several before settling, and plenty attend more than one.
Online meetings fill the gap completely: same format, same welcome, joinable from anywhere. Search online meetings and pick a time that fits your day.
Yes. Meetings do not ask how you arrived, only that you want to be there. Nobody checks your history, and no door is closed.
