Gamblers Anonymous is for the person who gambles. Gam-Anon is for the people affected by their gambling. The two are companion fellowships and often meet on the same evening in separate rooms.

Yes. Gam-Anon is modelled on Al-Anon, which supports families affected by drinking. Gam-Anon does the same for families affected by gambling.

Do I have to bring the person who gambles?

No. Gam-Anon is for you, whether or not the gambler is getting help. You come for your own wellbeing and to learn from others who understand.

Yes. There are no fees and no referrals. What is said in the room stays in the room, and only first names are used.
