CA, or Cocaine Anonymous, is a free, anonymous fellowship of people who help each other stop using and stay stopped, using the Twelve Steps. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances.

Is CA only for people addicted to cocaine?

No. Despite the name, CA welcomes anyone with a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances, including other drugs and alcohol. You are welcome whatever you have been using.

What is the difference between CA, NA and AA?

They are separate, independent fellowships that share the same Twelve Steps. AA is for people who want to stop drinking, NA is for people with a drug problem of any kind, and CA grew up around cocaine but welcomes anyone wanting to stop using any mind-altering substance. Many people attend more than one.

Do I have to speak or give my full name?

No. You can simply listen, and CA is anonymous, so a first name is all anyone uses. You share only what you want, when you are ready.

Is CA free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CA is free and self-supporting through members' own voluntary contributions. A basket may be passed for room costs, but you are never expected to give, especially as a newcomer.
