About Recovery Dharma

Recovery Dharma runs free, peer-led groups across the UK that use Buddhist practices, including meditation and mindfulness, to support recovery from any kind of addiction. It is non-theistic, so it does not ask you to believe in a higher power, and you do not need any background in Buddhism or meditation to take part.

A typical meeting lasts about an hour and includes a short reading, a guided meditation, and time to share. The atmosphere is calm and reflective, no one has to speak, and what is said in the group stays in the group.

Recovery Dharma meetings run in person and online, and many UK members join online groups. You are free to take what helps and leave the rest.
