Workaholics Anonymous holds free, anonymous meetings for people who cannot stop working, over-committing or keeping busy. It is not about how many hours you work: members arrive burned out on unpaid caring, studying and perfectionism as often as on paid jobs.
Most WA meetings run online or by phone, so you can join from anywhere in the UK at times through the day and evening; there are also a small number of in-person UK groups. Meetings last about an hour and nobody is made to speak.
WA adapts the twelve steps to compulsive doing, with practical tools: bottom lines around work, top lines around rest and play, and action plans. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop working compulsively.
